First out of the box, I was very delighted to see how small and light weight it was, great! As I was planning to mound this to the tank of the Motorcycle, or on my helmet. It also has a slightly rubberized grip, I'm guessing for that non slip grip, when the palms get sweaty! An assortment of mounts, from a suction cup for smooth surfaces, to some 3M adhesive then some elastic straps for wrist or helmet use. The Muvi also comes with a wireless remote, so you don't have to fumble for the camera if it is mounted somewhere you cant easily see. The remote gives you the ability to start and stop video as well as take still photos.
Test:
In the house of of the box, the muvi would not turn on at all...so off to the charger we went. The Muvi only comes with a 12v in car charger, so in house charging will require a USB connection. not sure if a household 120v to USB will work, as the instructions don't tell you much of anything.
After a Charge, we started in the menu system...basic, pic your resolution, pic size, set date and time...as for frame rate, we haft to assume what we read is correct, because there is no mention of it in the menu, 1080 just says 1080 and 720 just says 720.. what I'm reading is 1080 is 30fps and 720 is 60fps, but unless you do some homework or test video, you would know that by the menu system.
Video Test:
I'll upload a video below. The Video in my opinion was very good considering all the factors involved with action cameras, the mounts, the size and weight, all of them are bad for vibration, however the Muvi HD did a great job of recording the video, too bad the sun was out so i couldnt use the LCD screen, with ANY amount of sunlight on the screen, you could not see it at all. Unfortunate but not a deal breaker.

End:
Sadly after the first video test, when i got back into the house I noticed the Camcorder was very, very warm. Not thinking anything of it besides being out in the sun i removed the memory card and uploaded the videos for review. pleased with the results I returned to the camera to put the memory card back in and noticed it cooled, When I went to turn it back on, nothing...odd..maybe the battery is dead already, so i charged it, same result. the camera got hot until the camera shut off from the battery going dead. the 1.5" LCD screen stopped working also. will have to return this one, My guess is it was defective from the factory, as most items with a built in Lipo Battery will turn on out of the box. even just for a few seconds.
Im not sure if I will get another one, I'm a hard ass when it comes to quality. What if I wouldn't have tried it for a few weeks, or a few months. I would have been out due to a defective or poorly made product.
